A few years ago, there was a huge boom of drawstring backpacks. They were literally everywhere---from high fashion brands to streetwear---but that definitely didn't stop small(er) companies trying their luck and giving a drawstring design a go too.
BOO – a brand of two Slovenian sisters Katarina and Dominika Bučar---was one of those brands. Turns out, their jump into the fashion world wasn't just a one hit wonder and their Boopack drawstring backpack was only the beginning.
What started as a small sister business quite quickly turned into an actual brand, expanding their range of styles as well as offering their stylish and minimalist designs on a well-known shopping site that, if you're reading this, chances are you've shopped at before---Asos.
Boo expresses a clean, minimal and modern style and at the same time stands out in its distinctiveness and uniqueness. Their new winter collection gathers all the classics and minimalist aesthetics with a new point of view, new design concept and their representation. You can find new patterns, textures and materials but a safe choice of colors still striking and trendy at the same time.
And not to mention glitter. There’s lots and lots of glitter and holographic materials in their new collection---heaven for any gal like me who thinks glitter is necessary any time of the year, not just during holiday season.
But don’t worry, if glitter is not your thing and you prefer to stick to classic, minimalistic designs, you’ll find a ton of that too in any shape and from: from their original drawstring design, bucket bags and fanny packs to turtlenecks, sweaters, totes and schoolers.
Now excuse me while I send an express letter to Santa, asking for their glittery sweater that I miiiight just have a crush on and because, let's face it, there's never enough glitter, especially in December.
Oh and pssst, if you're in London and want to get someone their very own Boo for Christmas (or treat yourself because we should all do that from time to time), their bags are available at TopShop at Oxford Circus.
